MANEB PSLCE Results 2025 (Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education Results)
The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, in collaboration with the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB), has officially released the 2025 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) Results together with the Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) Results.

Overview of MANEB PSLCE Results 2025
The PSLCE examination is a key milestone in Malawi’s education system, determining which learners qualify to proceed to secondary school. To pass, each candidate must obtain passes in at least five subjects including English.
In 2025, a total of 247,958 candidates sat for the PSLCE examination, with 216,972 passing. This reflects an impressive 87.50% national pass rate, showing notable improvement compared to the previous year.

- Female candidates: 127,836 sat, 108,129 passed (84.56% pass rate)

- Total SNE candidates: 3,178 sat, 2,385 passed (75.05% pass rate)
- Male SNE candidates: 1,629 sat, 1,280 passed (78.58% pass rate)
- Female SNE candidates: 1,549 sat, 1,105 passed (71.34% pass rate)

Transition to Secondary Schools
Out of the 216,972 successful candidates, 103,261 learners have been selected to start Form 1 in various secondary schools. This represents a 47.59% transition rate, which is an improvement compared to 44.96% in 2024. Selected students are expected to report to their allocated secondary schools on 22 September 2025.
